The Trailer: USA Version

Please watch the incredibly haunting US trailer for Before I Fall, below:

The differences between the US and the UK trailers are quite profound, but I think each captures the spirit of the book in its own way. What do YOU think?

Both trailers are great! The UK one feels darker & more depressing to me (plus the car accident sound is haunting & difficult to forget). The US one seems to have a hopeful edge and to be expressing the idea that Samantha's experience could provide a helpful lesson for people who are still alive and have the opportunity to recognize all the ways in which each of their small choices & actions (or inactions) change the world every day. Both trailers make me want to read the book even more! :)

Nice, Lauren! Not sure which I like best. I think Violet said it best: the UK one is darker, while the US one is a little less so.

Love it, Lauren! I like both a lot, but I like the U.S. one the best by a tiny bit. Also, as Jess and Violet said, the UK is definitely darker, while the US has more of a helpful message feeling.

The Kent McFuller in my head is hotter than the one in this trailer...

I like the UK video because it doesn't show us the characters. We get to imagine them. Also, Sam's voice is strong and clear.

I agree with Ann. I like both trailers but like that you don't see the character in the UK one. Also I like that it has a darker edge - that would actually entice me in more.

Wow, great trailer! I literally just finished your book, and it was amazing. The trailer goes perfectly with the book.

I think they're both amazing not to mention gripping. I'm so excited for the release of your book. I'm basically counting down the days.

Are these just trailors for the book itself, or are they thinking of making a movie out of it?
